History

Jacqueline (Text) - Democratic Republic of Congo

« Jacqueline was one of the million and a half Rwandan Hutu refugees who arrived in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1994. An exodus that followed the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda. In her refugee camp in Bukavu where I met her, a return program was set up by the Red Cross and the UN. Jacqueline would be reunited with her family.
