“In Intikane, refugees are spread out over an enormous area that doesn’t resemble a camp but a juxtaposition of camps as far as the eye can see.
To the west are the Alfakaritan and Iwellemmedan Tuaregs from the Tamalet region, further off are the Ifoghas from Kidal, to the south are the Imajeghens from Gao and the Dawsahaks from the Ménaka region. (…) All these people gather every day at the wells where immense herds drink.”
