« Elmas is a film director. She made her first film on her own people: the Roms. While making this long documentary over a number of years, she became acquainted with a community that suffers from discrimination in Turkey as well as elsewhere in Europe.
“In making this film,” says Elmas, “I followed a quest for identity. Although I’m a Rom, I don’t speak the language. Without the help of my uncles, I’d never have managed to get access to these communities.” »
